Joined the Membership of Kingston Gallery | Sept 2021

An artist-run gallery incorporated in 1982, Kingston takes its name from its original location on Kingston Street near Boston's Chinatown. In the mid-90s, the gallery was one of the very first to relocate to Thayer Street, anchoring what has since developed into the vibrant SoWa arts district of Boston's historic South End.

The gallery is governed and run by dues-paying, exhibiting artist members and showcases a diverse range of contemporary art in a mutually supportive environment that encourages experimentation and growth. 100% of the income from sales of artwork in the gallery benefits artists. Gallery exhibitions receive numerous visitors and attention in both print and online publications including Art in America, Art New England, Artscope, The Boston Globe, and Big Red & Shiny, and the gallery's blog

The gallery space is divided front to back into the Main, Center and Kingston Project Space galleries. Occasionally, at the discretion of the gallery artists, the guest artists exhibit work in the Center Gallery to coincide with exhibitions in the Main gallery. The Kingston Project Space fosters experimentation and exploration of new work by gallery members. The intimacy of the space allows our artists to show a contained amount of work while pursuing and investigating new directions and installation possibilities.
